A lot of homeowners sit on unfinished basement space for years. The potential is there, but turning a raw concrete room into a fully functional bathroom feels like a big leap. That's exactly the kind of challenge we love to work with.
This was a full build-out - no existing fixtures, no existing plumbing in the space, nothing to salvage. We came in and built everything from scratch. The goal was simple: give the client a bathroom that felt polished and intentional, not like an afterthought tucked into a basement corner.
For the shower, we went with a marble-look surround that runs floor to ceiling inside the stall, paired with a frosted glass sliding door and brushed gold frame. It's a clean, classic combination that holds up over time. The vanity area got a white shaker-style cabinet with a marble-veined countertop, a wide frameless mirror, and a three-light bar above it - which makes a real difference in a below-grade space where natural light is limited.
The tile floor ties it all together. Large-format light gray tiles keep the room feeling open rather than cramped. And just off the bathroom, you can see built-in shelving was incorporated as well - smart use of the surrounding space that adds real storage value to the finished area.
Basement bathroom remodeling is one of those projects where the planning and rough-in work matters just as much as the finishes. Get the layout and plumbing wrong early and you're dealing with headaches for years. Get it right and you've added a genuinely useful, good-looking space to your home.
