Water damage has a way of hiding. What looks like a cosmetic issue on the surface - a soft spot, some discoloration, a little warping - is usually a sign that moisture has already worked its way in. By the time you notice mold on your siding, the damage underneath is almost always worse than it looks.

That's exactly the kind of situation we deal with on jobs like this. Multiple areas of the exterior had taken on water, and the siding was showing it. Cracked and deteriorating boards near ground level, damaged sections along the base of the garage, soft spots in the field of the wall - none of it was going to get better on its own. Patching over it wasn't an option. The only real fix was pulling the bad material and putting in new.

We replaced the damaged sections with new siding that matches the existing material and blends clean with the surrounding wall. Around windows, along the foundation line, near outdoor fixtures - we worked through each problem area the same way. Cut it out, do it right, move on. No caulk-over, no shortcuts.

The goal with any exterior repair is to stop the damage from going further. Mold on siding almost always means moisture has reached the sheathing or framing behind it. Getting ahead of that - before it turns into a structural problem - is what protects the home long-term. That's why we don't just address what's visible. We look at what's driving it.

If your exterior is showing similar signs - soft boards, mold, gaps near windows or the roofline - fall is actually a smart time to deal with it before winter moisture makes things worse. We handle siding repair as part of our exterior services, and we're straightforward about what needs to be done and why.
